Hubbardston Memorial Weekend 2026 — May 21–25
Hubbardston Memorial Weekend 2026 runs Thursday, May 21 through Monday, May 25 — five days of family fun including the Car Show, ball games, light show, scavenger hunts, inflatables, laser tag, the 5K Run/Walk, multiple cemetery dedications, and the Grand Parade on Memorial Day at 1:30pm. Grand Marshall: Michelle Cashen.
The Hubbardston Memorial Day Committee invites everyone to Hubbardston Memorial Weekend 2026, a five-day community celebration running Thursday, May 21 through Monday, May 25, 2026. Family fun is planned all weekend long — softball, the Car Show, the Friday night Light Show, scavenger hunts, inflatables, laser tag, the 5K Run/Walk, cemetery and memorial dedications, and the Grand Parade on Monday at 1:30pm.
This year's Grand Marshall is Michelle Cashen.
All events are subject to change without notice. Highlighted items below are free to attend.
Schedule of Events
Thursday, May 21
- 5:00 PM — Car Show at the American Legion. Food, T-shirts, and 50/50 raffle available.
- 8:00 PM — Entertainment at Shiel's Tavern.
Friday, May 22
- 6:00 PM — 40 and Over Ball Game at Dugan Field.
- National Anthem — Lisa Fandrick
- First Pitch — Jeremy Peiffer
- First Catch — His Favorite Coach
- Dusk — Light Show hosted by the Hubbardston Fire Department.
- 8:00 PM — Entertainment at Shiel's Tavern.
Saturday, May 23
- 8:00 AM — Men's Softball
- 12:00 PM — Horseshoe Tournament at Mill Pond Park.
- 12:00 PM — Kids Crafts at Mill Pond Park. (Free)
- 12:00 PM — Inflatable Fun all day next to the Fire Station. (Free)
- 1:00 PM — Wiffle Ball Game (all ages) at the corner of Hanover & Beaver St — Paula Peiffer's House. (Free)
- 4:00 PM — Kid Scavenger Hunt at the Fire Barn. (Free)
- 7:00 PM — Adult Scavenger Hunt at the Fire Barn. (Free)
- 8:00 PM — Entertainment at Shiel's Tavern.
Sunday, May 24
- 8:00 AM — Men's Softball
- 9:00 AM — Outdoor Mass at St. John the Baptist Church. Cemetery dedication to follow.
- 11:00 AM — Local Cemetery Dedications. (Flyer available at the American Legion.)
- 12:00 PM — Co-ed Softball at Dugan Field.
- 12:00 PM — Candy Bar Bingo at the American Legion. (Free)
- 12:00 PM — Inflatable Fun all day next to the Fire Station. (Free)
- 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM — Laser Tag at Mill Pond Park. (Free)
- 3:00 PM — Legion Hill Memorial Dedication.
- 8:00 PM — Entertainment at Shiel's Tavern.
Monday, May 25 — Memorial Day
- 8:00 AM — 5K Run/Walk Registration at St. John the Baptist Church.
- 9:00 AM — 5K Run/Walk Begins at St. John the Baptist Church.
- 11:30 AM — 50/50 Raffle Tickets, Parade Plop & Karaoke Sign Up at the Main Stage.
- 12:00 PM — Cemetery Dedication at East Plains Cemetery (Matherton). Music by the Pewamo-Westphalia Band.
- 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM — Inflatable Fun next to the Fire Station. (Free)
- 12:15 PM — Bridge Memorial Dedication.
- 12:30 PM — Irish Dancers at the Fire Barn.
- 1:30 PM — Grand Parade.
Following the Parade
- 2:30 PM — Karaoke on the Main Stage by Bobby D. (Free — sign up prior.)
- 50/50 & Plop Winner Announced.
- 2:30 PM — Co-ed Championship Game at Dugan Field.
